What does ‘Ellel’ mean?
Ellel Ministries takes its name from its first building in England, Ellel Grange, which is near the village of Ellel, in Lancashire.
In old English, the name Ellel means ‘All hail’ which means ‘All glory to God’
In Hebrew, Ellel means ‘towards God’
In Mandarin Chinese, it means ‘love flowing outwards (愛流).
So Ellel could be said to mean ‘All hail, Jesus, All glory to Him’ and be expressed as ‘Love flowing outwards’ into a fallen and broken world, where we are helping people move ‘towards God’. It is all for His glory.

What exactly do we mean by the word Healing?
Our definition of healing is simple. We believe healing is God's supernatural work of bringing order into a person's life where there has been disorder! It includes looking at the root problems that may be the cause of a person's struggle - dealing with any unforgiveness, sin, wounding, or hold of the enemy. As we help a person do their business with God in forgiving, repenting and making godly choices, we then pray for the Lord to bring His healing. It's not the weird or wacky picture of healing that some people have - just basic discipleship.
Our Basis of Faith
God is a Trinity.
God the Father loves all people.
God the Son, Jesus Christ, is Saviour and Healer, Lord and King.
God the Holy Spirit indwells Christians and imparts the dynamic power by which they are enabled to continue Christ's ministry.
The Bible is the divinely inspired authority in matters of faith, doctrine and conduct, and is the basis for teaching.
Our Vision and Mission
Ellel Ministries is an international non-denominational Christian mission organisation with a vision to resource and equip the church by welcoming people, teaching them about the Kingdom of God and healing those in need.
The foundational scripture for the ministry is Luke 9:11 where Jesus welcomed the people, taught them about the Kingdom of God and healed those who were in need. These three elements make up the work of Ellel Ministries - welcoming people, teaching them about life in the Kingdom of God and ministering God's healing to their lives.
Our mission is to fulfil this vision throughout the world, as God opens the doors, in accordance with the Great Commission of Jesus . To work alongside and in unity with the Body of Christ worldwide, fulfilling the call of the church to proclaim the Kingdom of God by preaching the good news, healing the broken-hearted and setting the captives free. We are, therefore, committed to evangelism, healing, deliverance, discipleship and training.
The particular scriptures on which our mission is founded are:
Jesus welcomed them (the crowds) and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendour.
They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. Strangers will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards. And you will be called priests of the LORD, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations and in their riches you will boast. Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.
When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
To equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.
And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.
