What does it take to be truly healed?

How can we find ways of enabling God's healing power to touch our lives - and the lives of those around us?

John Squires draws on his own and others' experience to encourage us to look outside ourselves to the God of healing and, within, to resources that provide well-being. In particular, he focusses on:

  • the healing of the whole person - body, mind and spirit
  • healing that defies reason - that is 'miraculous'
  • healing that fails to happen - with all the resultant disappointments
  • the healing that can come with approaching death
  • the relationship of prayer to healing, both individually and in community.

At the heart of this book is the conviction that faith and hope are crucial to the healing process. And these dynamic elements are available to all of us if we want them, whatever our condition -and the condition of those we love.
JOHN SQUIRES is an Anglican clergyman who has been involved in healing for more than 45 years, including time in England as a chaplain of a residential healing home which offered counselling and specialised prayer for those needing physical, emotional and spiritual healing. He has spoken at many conferences on healing and wholeness in Australia and overseas, and has an abiding interest in the mind-body connection, as well as the place of prayer in the healing process.
